After a career in both business and government, I took my first Humanities class late in life and discovered that I had always studied Humanities in my other careers through reading and research. I took my first Humanities graduate class in 2006 and started teaching in 2010. I did not even dream of becoming a teacher until one of my UHCL professors told me that I should teach. Teaching Humanities has been the best job I ever had.
